Why do we eat simanim on Rosh Hashanah? We “taste with our ears” using kid-safe foley—apple crunch, honey sticky-rub, רִמּוֹן seed plink, and סֶלֶק squish—to learn how סִימָנִים (symbols) point to kind actions and דִּבְרֵי נֹעַם (sweet words).
