Pesach Part 2: The River Followed Us Home

3/20/2026

Uh-oh, Tali’s house is turning into a swamp! Red water is bubbling up in the kitchen sink and the living room kiddie pool. To stop the ancient Nile River from crashing their house, Noam, Tali, Sabba, and Lama have to jump back into the Time-Closet and travel to ancient Egypt! In Part 2 of our Pesach adventure, the team discovers how a hidden act of courage grows into a massive public showdown. We’ll watch a very nervous Moshe practice a big speech with his brother Aharon, proving that even brave leaders need helpers when they are scared. Then, we’ll sneak down to the riverbank at dawn to catch King Pharaoh in a very embarrassing secret moment! Why does Aharon use his staff to strike the water instead of Moshe? Get ready to learn all about the Jewish value of Hakarat Hatov (gratitude), what it means to be an Amitz (brave person), and how to stand up for the truth in the open. Packed with another exciting round of the Lama Quiz, new Hebrew vocabulary, and a special take-home water challenge! Challenge: Sabba wants to know: If Hashem is so powerful, why did Pharaoh say no the first time? Have your grown-up help you email your best ideas to challenge@talewizard.ai!

The Big Question: לָמָּה (Llama/Why) do we make so much noise and wear silly costumes on Purim? Grab your groggers and buckle up! In this incredibly noisy episode of Ask Llama, Tali, Noam, and our favorite furry friend Llama are trying to build the loudest רַעֲשָׁן (grogger) in the world! When their super-grogger accidentally explodes, Llama asks the ultimate Purim question: Why do we make so much racket and dress up in silly disguises? With Sabba as their co-pilot, the gang hops into the Llama Chariot and time-travels straight back to the dusty streets of ancient Shushan to find out! In this episode, your kids will discover: The Stone-Smashing Secret: Why kids in ancient Persia used to bang rocks together to erase the memory of Amalek and the bad guy, Haman. What makes a סֻכָּה a real סֻכָּה? Tali builds a “Cardboard Castle” that’s dark as a closet—uh-oh, no sky, no plants, no סְכַךְ! With Noam’s calm explanations and Lama’s endless “?לָמָה,” the kids engineer their way through the rules of building a kosher סֻכָּה: three steady walls, a plant-roof that grew from the ground, more shade than sun, and a good shake-test for safety. Along the way, they play “Two Nu’s & a Wow!,” discover why some families love seeing peeks of שָׁמַיִם, and build a mini-סֻכָּה craft with twigs and tape. This episode helps kids learn and laugh their way into the mitzvah of סֻכָּה—while practicing teamwork, kindness, and curiosity. Ask Llama לָמָה is the fast-paced, silly-smart Jewish kids’ podcast where Tali invents, Noam explains, and Lama the Llama asks all the best questions.

Simanim Science Lab: Crunchy Codes for a Sweet Year — Tali turns the studio into a “taste lab,” Noam brings the science, and Lama the Llama (לָמָה) asks the big question: לָמָה אֲנַחְנוּ אוֹכְלִים סִימָנִים בְּרֹאשׁ הַשָּׁנָה? Why do we eat simanim on Rosh Hashanah? We “taste with our ears” using kid-safe foley—apple crunch, honey sticky-rub, רִמּוֹן seed plink, and סֶלֶק squish—to learn how סִימָנִים (symbols) point to kind actions and דִּבְרֵי נֹעַם (sweet words). We explore different מִנְהָגִים (customs), talk about כַּוָּנָה (intent), play “Two Nu’s & a WOW!”, and try an at-home Foley Fruit Plate activity. Kids will: Discover what סִימָנִים are and why families use them. Hear sound-alike substitutes for תַּפּוּחַ בִּדְּבַשׁ, רִמּוֹן, סֶלֶק, and תַּמְרִים. Practice “sweet speech” they can use right away.
